Anthony Quinn Collage Foil, Leaf and capsule and acrylic applied to wine bottles and their wine labels, old, loved, drunk and thoroughly enjoyed over the years, cheers!

What glorious fun, I have just scanned these two labels of a DUNN 1 Cabernet Sauvignon bottle from Napa, California, and a bottle of Montrachet white Burgundy from LOUIS LAOUR, a 1980 I believe? Enjoy, cheers, TONY  9/24/2014

More Wine Labels ( BIG FIRE , TRAFFORD Aussie Port-Style, Chateau Mouton Rothschild Pauillac, Bordeaux, 1986, Blackwood Canyon 1986 Pinnacle Botritized White WA. Riesling, ... ), That I Have Just Scanned Today, September 23rd, 2014 Here At Home In Northern Virginia On A Drop-Dead Gorgeous Tuesday, A Wonderful Fall Day ...

Enjoy these now ...  TONY

I have drunk these over the years and sampled them when I also worked in wholesale here in Washington D.C. hey have provided me with much joy and they still do like the bottles, half-bottles of the BLACKWOOD CANYON 1986 " Pinnacle " Columbia Valley Botritized White Riesling from Bento City, Washington State that I enjoy even now as the flavors are still bright and fresh and attractive and appealing and seductive though the colors may be murky and strewn with grape-skin and age and yet I marvel and I wonder and I smile from inside such that it grows to cover me outside as I taste and I hold this magic elixir in my mouth that is still quite alive and vital and viril and sexy and wondrous! What a treat, to think 28 or so years old and still going strong... I love it, I really do. Cheers, Anthony   ( TONY ) Quinn   9/2/2014

DEDICATED To My Collection Of Wine Bottle Labels That I Have Collected Over The Years As A Recollection, A Souvenir, To Use In My Art Work And To Share With The World As It Is A Big Part Of Our Wine World And Wine History

Hello! Here are some wine labels that I have collected over the years and want to take this opportunity to finally share some of them with you as I continue to daily / weekly collect them.

I used to do it old and hard way and soak them off the bottles, that was long and laborious and time/consuming and yet, I did it anyway, a labor of love that I largely did in Paris, France and then when we returned here to Washington D.C. and northern Virginia in the early eighties.

I hope you enjoy these. Being an artist I have recently assembled them in many collages for you all to appreciate. I think that helps to tell a more interesting story.

For awhile now I have collected them in a pretty efficient and easy way. I use a razor blade and I cut   them from the boxes that they are on when we have received them in the stores that I have worked : from Burka's Fine Wines, The Mayflower Wine And Spirits, MacArthur Beverages and now Cleveland Park Wine And Spirits : all store in Northwest , Washington D.C.

Please feel free to comment and to share any observations, and to tell us about any that you may have?

I have been doing this since the early seventies in Paris, France and now here since 1980 here back in the Washington D.C. metropolitan region. It's Thursday, August 28th,2014 as I start this.

Many of the labels will be scanned and added in this fashion as it is easier and more fun. Anthony / TONY/ Quinn
